The body of Irish singer Sinéad O’Connor’s 17-year-old son was found in Dublin on Saturday. He had been reported missing two days earlier.
The Irish pop singer Sinéad O’Connor (“Nothing Compares 2 U”) mourns the loss of her 17-year-old son Shane. The youngster was reported missing on Thursday, and Dublin police confirmed on Saturday that the search for the teenager had been stopped. The 55-year-old artist announced on social media that her son was no longer alive.
On an unverified Twitter account attributed to O’Connor, poignant lines might be read: “My baby. I love you so much. Please be in peace. “
Irish police said a body had been found in the town of Wicklow, south of Dublin, and a call for clues regarding the whereregardings of the missing Shane had been ended. On a picture of a surveillance camera that the police released on Friday, you can see the 17-year-old in a black hoodie with a colorful print, dark sweatpants and white sneakers.
Shane O’Connor is Sinéad O’Connor’s third child, who she had with folk singer Donal Lunny. A few days ago, the singer from Tallaght hospital management threatened to file a lawsuit via social media if “something should happen to my son”. According to the mother, Shane was being monitored in a clinic for suicide risk.
