After an accident with a car at a Carnival parade are in Reisenberg (Baden district) on Saturday investigations been in progress. The vehicle was secured by order of the public prosecutor’s office in Wiener Neustadt, the police said on Sunday on request.

What happened?
The 46th Reisenberg carnival parade was almost over when shortly before 6 p.m. when turning from Mühlgasse onto the B60, the side railing of a car broke, the local fire brigade reported.
Numerous participants fell onto the roadway or into the ditch. A large contingent of helpers was deployed to tend to the injured. A 43-year-old man was flown to a Vienna hospital with serious injuries. According to the Red Cross Lower Austria, 14 people suffered minor injuries, nine of them were treated in the hospital.
According to the executive, there were a total of 40 to 50 people on the loading area, 20 participants fell onto the road or into the ditch. “Due to the high number of visitors, a crowd of people immediately formed around the event, and the situation turned out to be confusing,” reported the fire brigade. In some cases, the emergency services were “confronted with aggressive resistance”.
Tractor driver wanted
The driver of the tractor with the trailer attached had left the scene of the accident following the incident. He was asked on Sunday to report to the Ebreichsdorf police station or any other police station so that his information regarding the accident can also be recorded.

There were other incidents in Mistelbach and Wolfsberg in Carinthia. The accident in the Mistelbach district occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. According to the first information, a vintage tractor had started rolling on a sloping site. A man who wanted to stop the vehicle got under the car and suffered injuries, said a police spokesman for the accident. According to the Red Cross, the incident occurred on the sidelines of the carnival parade in Gaweinstal.
In Carinthia, however, fell on Sunday at around 2.40 p.m. a 19-year-old woman from the Wolfsberg district fell from a moving truck at the carnival parade in St. Georgen im Lavanttal. She was injured to an unspecified degree. She was brought to the LKH Wolfsberg by the rescue service.
