Several channels distributed by Canal+ will ultimately remain included in the Freebox Delta and Revolution offers

The 4 channels of the M6 group which were to disappear yesterday, finally remain in the Canal offers and in TV by Canal.

We reported to you last May that Canal+ had announced that several French channels were going to disappear from its offers on June 30, including TV by Canal, the channel package included in the Freebox Revolution and Freebox Delta packages. The channels concerned were in particular CANAL J, MCM, RFM TV, TIJI, and TRACE LATINA,

But surprises, most of these channels are still present in the Canal offers on July 1 and still accessible free of charge for Freebox Delta and Freebox Revolution subscribers. It is therefore all the channels of the M6 group, namely CANAL J, MCM, RFM TV and TIJI which ultimately remain in the Canal offers.

The maintenance of these channels in the Canal offers is the result of an agreement reached in extremis between the M6 and Canal + groups following very long negotiations, reports our colleague Planet CSat. This is not the first time that Canal+ has announced the withdrawal of certain channels and then backtracked. It’s a way of putting pressure on channel editors during negotiations.
