Lahore: Many teachers were killed in a shooting at a school in Pakistan. At least seven teachers have been killed in an incident at a school in northwest Pakistan’s Upper Kurram. Jio TV Reported. The incident took place on Thursday in Upper Kurram Tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The local police said that unidentified gunmen fired at the teachers who were in the staff room of Tari Mangal Government High School. The teachers were doing things for the exam duty. Authorities have declared a state of emergency in hospitals in the area.

In another incident at Parachinar in Upper Kurram, a teacher was killed. Mohammad Sharif who was traveling in the car was killed. He is also a teacher in the same school. Exams were suspended following the incident. School shootings are rare in Pakistan. In December 2016, more than 140 people were killed in a bomb attack and shooting at a military school in Peshawar.
