Seven people died in a fire in the Tomsk region

A residential building caught fire at night on July 17 in the village of Kolbinka, Molchanovsky district. Firefighters struggled with the fire for more than six hours – it was completely eliminated only in the morning. Seven people died in the fire. Among the dead, according to preliminary data, there are five children.

According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Tomsk Region, the message regarding the fire was received at 00:18 on July 17. A semi-apartment log house caught fire in the village of Kolbinka, Molchanovsky district.

As a result of the fire, the wooden crate of the roof of the house and the summer kitchen was burned and collapsed. The walls of the house were burned, the veranda burned down. The total fire area was 168 square meters.

The fire was completely extinguished at 06:31. Four pieces of equipment and ten people worked on the spot.

The press service of the Investigative Committee reported that the bodies of seven people were found during the extinguishing of the fire. At the same time, the department does not specify whether they are men or women, whether there are children among the dead.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (infliction of death by negligence on two or more persons).

The design is currently under construction. Forensic investigators and employees of the Main Directorate of Criminalistics of the TFR are working at the scene.

According to information Mash Siberia, the dead – five children (three girls and two boys) and two adults (a man and a woman). The Investigative Committee does not comment on this information.
