Seven more arrested for environmental damage to El Águila Peak

Another seven people were put behind bars for allegedly being immersed in environmental damage in the Merida moor. In total there are already 12 those involved who have been arrested.

The information was released by the prosecutor Tarek William Saab on his social networks, he first reported on the capture of D. Sánchez, CDJ Calderón, A. Monsalve, W. Villarreal and a minor under 17 years of age.

Others later it was also announced that W. Tarazona and E. Paredes were arrested. In addition, their vehicles were seized, since they were allegedly involved in damaging the environment and ecosystem of Pico El Águila.

Five others had already been arrested previously.
