Seven Michigan State University Spartans players will be held to account after violently attacking two University of Michigan Wolverines players in the tunnel leading to the locker room after their Oct. 29 game.

Khary Crump, Jacoby Windmon, Itayvion Brown, Angelo Grose, Justin White, Brandon Wright and Zion Young will all face justice, the Washtenaw County, Michigan District Attorney’s Office revealed on Wednesday.

Crump was charged with felony assault after he was seen with his helmet in his hands using his protective gear to punch Wolverines’ Gemon Green. Windmon, who also appears in the video, has been charged with assault.

The five other Spartans involved in the case have been charged with aggravated assault for surrounding Wolverines defensive player Ja’Den McBurrows while he is on the ground before punching him. and kicks.

All of these players were also suspended by Michigan State University, as was Malcolm Jones. The latter, however, has not received any charges against him.

“Michigan University appreciates the Washtenaw County District Attorney’s approach to this unfortunate case,” university president Santa J. Ono said in a statement. We also want to express our concerns for the players involved, particularly those injured. The university will continue to cooperate with everything related to this file.
