The cause of the accident and how it happened have not yet been clarified. However, this much is already known: two minibuses and a car are said to have collided with each other. The rescue workers were deployed with three helicopters and six ambulances, and an emergency medical team provided first aid to the injured.
The seriously injured were flown to the hospitals in Braunau, Traunstein and Salzburg. The rescue brought other people injured in the accident to clinics in Passau and Ried.
