Seven dead on the site of an airport under construction in Burkina Faso

In Burkina Faso, the collapse last Friday of a slab on the site of the Dossin airport under construction, regarding thirty kilometers from the capital Ouagadougou, caused the death of seven people, according to the prosecutor of Burkina Faso near the High Court of Ziniaré, Fissouonté Hien.

In a press release, relayed on Monday by the Burkina Information Agency (AIB), the prosecutor specifies that seven people were killed and six others injured in the collapse of a building on the construction site of the international airport. of Dossin in the northern outskirts of Ouagadougou.

The prosecutor points out that “the hearing of all the stakeholders in the context of the production of this work continues to determine the criminal responsibilities for the death of the seven people, the injuries and any offenses that the investigation will reveal”.

Immediately following the announcement of the tragedy, the Minister responsible for Transport instructed his competent services to ensure that the group of offices responsible for monitoring the site draw up a detailed report on the accident and a detailed technical analysis of the conditions for carrying out the work as soon as possible.

It also instructed the taking of precautionary measures in order to guarantee the reliability of the expertise which should make it possible to locate the responsibilities.
