Seven cracks from the Steinbach Black Wings can prove themselves in the ÖEHV national team from Easter Monday. The dream of participating in the World Cup is alive for Linz’s Thomas Höneckl, Gerd Kragl, Patrick Söllinger, Niklas Bretschneider, Nico Feldner, Julian Pusnik and Emilio Romig. For the people of Linz, it is important to recommend themselves from week to week for the World Cup, which begins on May 10th in the Czech capital Prague.
“The young players are once once more given a chance to prove themselves. In the past two years there have always been young players who were there from the first team camp and were able to march through to the World Cup because of their performance. I’m excited to see if they will once more this year “It’s once once more one of the young players who manages to pull off such a surprise. What’s important now is that especially those players who haven’t had any games for around five weeks get back into the competitive rhythm,” says team boss Roger Bader.
In the first of five weeks of preparation, Team Austria will test once morest Latvia away in Riga on April 4th and 5th. This will probably be Patrick Söllinger’s team debut. Incidentally, Nico Feldner has the most team experience in the Linz squad with currently 30 international matches. On Saturday, April 20th, the ÖEHV national team will test once morest the Czech Republic in Linz.
