Settlers kill Palestinian, injure others in attack on village east of Qalqilya

Palestine – A young Palestinian man was killed and others were injured, one of them critically, yesterday, Thursday, in an attack by Israeli settlers on the village of Jit, east of Qalqilya.

The Ministry of Health reported that the body of the young man who was killed, with a critical injury to the chest by settlers’ bullets, arrived at Rafidia Governmental Hospital in Nablus, from the village of Jit.

Local sources said that the dead man was the young man Rashid Abdul Qader Sedda (23 years old), noting that armed settlers attacked the village and fired live bullets at the citizens, which led to the young man and another citizen being critically injured.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews dealt with the injury of the young man, Sedda, with live bullets to the chest, and he was transferred to the hospital, where his injury was described as critical and the doctors announced his death.

The association added that its crews also dealt with a young man who was injured in the head and leg, and another who was hit by a stone in the head, in addition to an elderly woman who suffered from suffocation due to inhaling toxic gas, and they were treated in the field.

Sources reported that 21 Palestinians were killed by settlers’ bullets in the West Bank since October 7.

Local sources said that Israeli forces closed the entrances to the village and prevented civil defense crews from reaching the homes and vehicles that were set on fire by the settlers.
