The National Scholarship Agency of Gabon (ANBG) announced in a press release the opening of a scholarship program, aimed at supporting sixty (60) young Gabonese people, including a first cohort of forty (40) high school graduates, for the current academic year (2024-2025). This scholarship program, developed in partnership with the Société d’exploitation du transgabonais (SETRAG), is allocated to technical and professional training of 2 to 3 years, we learn.
The training courses concerned cover areas such as electrical engineering, electricity, industrial mechanics, electronics, IT, renewable energies, tax law, human resources management and digital marketing, underlines the press release.
To apply, candidates must be of Gabonese nationality, aged 24 years or less and hold the baccalaureate obtained in the first round. Application files must be submitted to the ANBG no later than Monday November 11, 2024 and must include in particular a registration form, a photocopy of a legalized birth certificate, as well as certified copies of school report cards, baccalaureate admission notes and certificates.
The ANBG specifies that the first wave of forty (40) scholarships will be awarded to 2024 baccalaureate graduates, for the 2024-2025 academic year and to 2023 non-scholarship students, located along the railway, notably in Owendo, Ndjolé, Booué, Lastourville and Franceville.
This initiative by Setrag, a subsidiary of the French Eramet Group, entirely financed by the company as part of corporate social and environmental responsibility (CSR), is part of a proactive approach aimed at offering new perspectives to young Gabonese people. and contribute to the development of technical and professional skills in the country.
