Steph Curry’s brother is back in Texas! Seth Curry signed with the Mavericks for two years according to Adrian Wojnarowski. The amount is unknown at this time, but it will bring bench depth to the Unicorns. Behind Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic, it will send strings!
He had left town in 2020, for two years with the Sixers and then as many with the Nets spent sending filoche from the parking lot. Starting next season, Seth Curry will once once more be a Maverick! Back on the Dallas bench, but with a new coach and above all, a substitute role behind the Irving – Doncic tandem on the back line. The signing is a very good move for the franchise, which recovers a known profile capable of bringing off the bench.
Free agent guard Seth Curry has agreed on a two-year deal with the Dallas Mavericks, co-head of @CAA_Basketball Austin Brown tells ESPN.

At the Nets, Seth Curry has offered this season 9.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists at 46.2% shooting, including 40.5% behind the arc. Slightly lower statistics in the second half of the season, his role having been reduced following the winter arrivals in the group. The end of the cycle was predictable in Brooklyn, so Dallas will have to make the most of the trigger from next November. Seth put up almost 12.4 points when he played with Luka Doncic in 2020. It’s hard to expect that much, but his talent will be greatly appreciated to rest the executives.
With this signing, the back line of the Mavericks seems ready to fight. It remains to find a real solution in the paint for the roster to really look good, but the Free Agency 2023 is just starting and the time is not yet in the emergency. Everything comes at the right time to who knows how to wait, as the saying goes eh.
