Kasargod High Court bans meetings of more than 50 people The court asked what was so special regarding the conventions of political parties. Even for the Republic Day celebrations, 50 people were allowed. The court ruled that 36 per cent of the patients were in Kasargod hospital. The division bench also said that there was no clarity in the government order.

Meanwhile, the CPM cut the Kasargod and Thrissur district conventions. There were widespread complaints regarding the conference being held during the Kovid expansion. Earlier, the district collector had withdrawn an order banning public functions in the district. The Kasargod district convention will be held at Madikkai Ambalathukara, the CPM’s stronghold. Senior District Committee member TV Govindan hoisted the conference flag. Polit Bureau member S Ramachandran Pillai inaugurated the conference.
