Starting from national epidemiological studies SEPHAR (Studies evaluating the prevalence of Arterial Hypertension (HTA), an increase in the prevalence of AF has been shown in Romania, especially in hypertensive subjects. Despite a high CHA2DS2 – VASc score, the anticoagulant therapy is suboptimal.
