Partnership includes the implementation of tools such as Artificial Intelligence in teaching and migration of part of the educational environment to cloud services. Agreement between the entities is valid for 60 months

The Industrial Social Service (SESI) and Microsoft do Brasil celebrated, this Thursday (25/4), a new technical cooperation agreement for the implementation of innovative educational solutions that contribute to the teaching and learning process in up to 465 SESI Network schools, which work with Elementary Education, Secondary Education and Youth and Adult Education (EJA). The ceremony to celebrate the agreement, lasting 60 months, took place during Bett Brasil, an innovation and technology event focused on education, in São Paulo.

SESI’s Superintendent of Education, Wisley Pereira, explains that the convergence between education and technology is fundamental to improving teaching in the country. “Technologies emerge every day that improve people’s quality of life and teaching in schools cannot be left out of this. If we talk regarding the future of work, we must enrich teaching with innovative tools and provide our students and teachers with mechanisms that facilitate learning. Joining partners that have technology in their DNA, like Microsoft, drives us to connect innovation with education.”

“This agreement will allow students, teachers and other professionals from SESI Network schools to have access to technologies that can support both the learning process and administrative activities of these institutions. Bringing cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to everyday teaching is extremely important for advancing education and the professional future of these students”, adds Alessandra Karine, vice-president for Public Sector, Health and Education at Microsoft Brazil.

SESI and Microsoft

What are the main points of the agreement between SESI and Microsoft:

  • Artificial Intelligence in teaching: improvement of teaching material and teaching strategies through this technology to make materials more interactive and dynamic. Additionally, implementing a personalized virtual tutor will provide individualized educational support to students through advanced AI techniques.
  • Data Platform: implementation of solutions to improve the analysis of educational results through the integration of the SESI Educação Portal with Microsoft systems to make the educational experience more integrated.
  • Cloud Education: migration of part of the educational environment to Microsoft Azure in order to integrate advanced technologies into environments such as the SESI Education Portal, for example.
  • New Business Applications: investment in tools that contribute to the journey of use by students and teachers, such as optimized academic management, monitoring of student performance and personalized support.
  • SESI Educational Technologies Center: Microsoft’s contribution to discussions regarding the Center to Promote Educational Innovation.
  • Microsoft Certifications: provision of content that prepares teachers and students for internationally recognized certifications.
  • Technical and pedagogical support: provision of tools for teachers from the SESI Education Network.

In the same year, SESI and Microsoft signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement to make educational technologies available to schools in the SESI Network of the 27 regional departments that work with Elementary Education, Secondary Education and Youth and Adult Education.
