This missed opportunity should take revenge shortly following the break. After a cross into the penalty area, Servette was not assigned. Rangers captain James Tavernier headed free at the far post and scored to make it 1-1. The goal gave Glasgow a boost and as a result the guests clearly improved compared to the first half. In the 79th minute, Cyriel Dessers missed the decision with a shot at the post. Because Servette’s rearing up was unsuccessful, the Rangers were also satisfied with the draw.
