A few months ago, Valery Leontiev practically disappeared from the radar of fans. According to journalists, the most famous Russian “Casanova” is sitting almost non-stop in his luxurious villa in Miami (Florida, USA), trying to cope with health problems. Last year, the 73-year-old artist underwent two major operations at once – on his eyes and on his leg.
“In March, Leontiev had his eyes operated on, so he didn’t go out much. And then another and a serious operation on the legs. His sore knees have been bothering him since the beginning of the 2000s. Then, during a concert, performing complex dance steps, he first injured the meniscus on one leg, then soon on the second. Apparently, old injuries made themselves felt, ”said an acquaintance of Valery Yakovlevich.
As the journalists of Komsomolskaya Pravda managed to find out, Leontiev had to sell a significant part of the property to pay for the expensive treatment. Until the very last moment, he owned an apartment and two villas. However, judging by the latest information obtained from the Miami real estate registry, the performer got rid of the apartments and one of the houses. Their value is not reported, but, according to some information, we are talking regarding millions of dollars.
The current mansion in which he lives with his wife refused to perform in Russia Valery Yakovlevich, estimated at almost five million dollars. This means that Leontiev himself will have to pay regarding $100,000 in taxes at the end of the year. Of course, these are significant expenses for the family budget. It is not surprising that Leontiev got rid of other real estate, which also brought him only losses.
