Serious Israeli allegations against Egypt regarding drone attack

Channel 14 Israel quoted Avivi as saying to the Israeli newspaper “The Patriot,” “While we are talking about a deal to end the war and free the prisoners, there are now thousands of drones and tens of thousands of missiles in Sinai waiting to enter the Strip and change the entire military balance.”

He explained that the Philadelphi Corridor is located on the border between Gaza and Egypt, and the Rafah crossing is also located on it. The corridor is considered the “oxygen pipe” for Hamas, which uses it to smuggle weapons that it uses against Israeli army forces, and even the rockets that it fires at Israeli settlers, he claimed.

Avivi presented three reasons for the insistence of the Palestinian factions movement and the Egyptian mediator on the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Philadelphi corridor as a condition for the deal. The first reason, according to his allegations, is that there are thousands of militants, missiles and drones across the border waiting for the opportunity to strike Israel.

He added that another reason for insisting on withdrawing from the border axis is that once the Israeli army leaves Philadelphia, Hamas will have the ability to achieve its intention of transferring the kidnapped from the Gaza Strip to Iran via Sinai.

The Israeli general warned Tel Aviv of the danger of withdrawing from the axis, saying: “Israel should not leave Philadelphia. The Egyptians and Hamas want us to leave so that they can transfer the rest of the kidnapped from Gaza to Sinai and then to Iran.”

The third reason, Avivi says, is that the number of kidnapped soldiers who will be released in the current deal, if it goes into effect, is “30 at most,” and once Israel abandons the Philadelphi corridor, it will have nothing left to bargain over in subsequent deals that might lead to the release of the remaining kidnapped soldiers.

He added that if Tel Aviv abandons Philadelphia, it will not be able to negotiate for the rest of the 109 kidnapped prisoners.
