SERIOUS CONFLICT between France and Germany: By 2035…

France and Germany are at loggerheads over a ban on ICE cars and nuclear power.

>< “Politico” wrote regarding it.

According to the publication, a meeting of EU leaders will be held today and tomorrow in Brussels. Ukraine’s support and the bloc’s economic competitiveness will be discussed at the event. But the conflict between Paris and Berlin might derail the talks.

It should be recalled that previously the representatives of Germany together with Italy prevented the European Union’s decision to ban the sale of cars with traditional engines until 2035. This decision caused a serious scandal.

German officials are pushing for the elimination of synthetic alternatives to fossil fuels because it would benefit the German auto industry. At the same time, the EU has already rejected such a request twice.

France criticized this situation and decided to try to include nuclear power in the list of EU “clean” technologies. This, in turn, caused dissatisfaction in Germany.
