The suite of creativity-focused apps Affinityfrom Serif, received a beautiful update — the 2.3which was released for three apps: Designer, Photo e Publisher.
Before we break down everything that’s new, it’s important to remember that this update is completely free for those users who are on version 2, launched in November last year. For new users or those still on the first version, it is possible to purchase or update the package.

What’s new for Designer, Photo and Publisher
There are new features that are available for all three apps! The coolest of them is the introduction of a spiral toolwhich offers the possibility of creating different types of shapes, such as Linear, Decaying, Semicircular, Fibonacci and Plotted.
There is also a new option for the pixel grid, the possibility of creating and password-protecting PDFs, changes in data entry movement (macOS only) and the implementation of the function to change the background color of the Assets Panel.
What’s New for Publisher
The “Tags” panel now allows you to add alternative text to your images and objects when exported to PDF.
Additionally, the drop-down menu now has “Find” and “Replace” fields.
New for the Designer
As for Affinity Designer, the “Pencil” tool now allows the newly created curve to not be selected after you draw it.
