Rabat – The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Rachid Talbi Alami, had a series of talks with Speakers of Parliaments and Heads of Delegations who took part in the 11th Conference of Speakers of African National and Regional Parliaments, held September 1-2 at the headquarters of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) in Midrand, South Africa.
Mr. Talbi Alami met, in this sense, with the presidents of parliaments and heads of delegations of Egypt, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Gabon, indicates a press release from the House of Representatives, specifying that the Discussions focused on the causes of the African continent, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation and mutual coordination and learn from experiences in respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of African countries.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives also held a meeting with the President of the PAP, Fortune Charumbira, focusing on the role of this African institution in the effective implementation of the slogan “A united Africa”, in addition to the approaches allowing to apprehend , from a parliamentary point of view, issues relating to nutrition, health, the economic take-off of the continent and the management of the post-Covid-19 era.
Mr. Talbi Alami discussed, on this occasion, the Moroccan experience and its achievements, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, in addition to the means to benefit from it, and to strengthen and institutionalize effective parliamentary cooperation. in the matter.
