London: England won the ODI cricket series once morest Indian women. England won the series by seven wickets in the third and final match held yesterday.

India won one match in the three ODI series. Batting first yesterday, India scored 122 runs for eight wickets. England batted in reply and took the winning run with 10 balls to go. Opener Sophia Dunkley (49 off 44 balls), Alice Kapse (38 not out off 24 balls) and Danny Wyatt (22 off 23 balls) were the winners.

Radha Yadav, Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar took one wicket each for India. The top batsmen in the Indian line-up disappointed. Wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh, who scored 33 runs off 22 balls, Deepti Sharma (24 off 25 balls), Pooja Vastrakar (19 not out off 11 balls) and 14 extra runs given by the English bowlers crossed the double figure. Openers Shafali Verma (five), Smriti Mandhana (nine) and heroine Harmanpreet Kaur (five) disappointed. Sabhineni Meghana and Dayalan Hemalatha failed to score runs. India was crushed by Sophie Eccleston who took three wickets for 25 runs in four overs. Sarah Glenn took two wickets while Briony Smith, Freya Davies and EC Wong took one wicket each. Sophie Eccleston was the star of the match.
