Brisbane: Australia won the Twenty20 cricket series against the West Indies. Australia won the two Twenty20 series one-sidedly.
They won the second Twenty20 yesterday by 31 runs. Batting first, the Aussies scored 178 runs for seven wickets. Batting in reply, Windies scored 147 runs for eight. Opener David Warner scored 75 runs in 41 balls including three sixes and 10 fours. Tim David scored 42 runs in 20 balls including three sixes and four fours. Opener Cameron Green (one), skipper Aaron Finch (15 off 19 balls), John Maxwell (one) and Matthew Wade (16 off 14 balls) disappointed. Pacer Mitchell Starc took four wickets for 20 runs and destroyed the Windies.
