This new development should put an end to a series of murders that have rocked the metropolis since Tuesday evening.

The most recent victim is a young man in his early twenties who was killed by at least one bullet to the head in the middle of the street, Wednesday evening, in the Laval-des-Rapides district.

The victim was probably traveling on a skateboard on boulevard Clermont when the shooter appeared, coldly shooting him down in the middle of the street. The young man was pronounced dead at the scene.

At least one suspect was seen fleeing the scene following the crime.

Very quickly, the police established that this heinous crime might be linked to the two gratuitous murders committed the day before on the territory of Montreal.

According to our information, everything suggests that the three homicides were the work of the same individual.

“Same suspect description, same car description,” said a police source who is not authorized to speak to the media.

Moreover, the murder that occurred in Laval was committed according to the same modus operandi as the two homicides that occurred Tuesday evening, on the territory of Montreal.

In all three cases, the victims are men who appear to have been chosen at random and who were shot in the head. Each time, the victims were shot at close range and the murders were committed on the public highway.

Recall that Tuesday evening, two men were murdered for no apparent reason in the space of just one hour.

The first is the father of former world boxing champion David Lemieux. André Fernand Lemieux, 64, was coldly shot while he was in a bus shelter at the corner of boulevards Jules-Poitras and Deguire, in the borough of Saint-Laurent.
