The governor of San Juan, Sergio Uñac, recognized this Sunday night the defeat of Peronism in the elections of his province and highlighted the “triumph of Together for Change” at the hands of candidate Marcelo Orrego.

“I recognize the defeat, the trend is now irreversible and I have already contacted Marcelo Orrego to congratulate him on the victory,” he told the press following 9:00 p.m. He also congratulated his brother, candidate Rubén Uñac, and his running mate, Cristian Andino, who “They gave everything, but the people express themselves“.

“I come to recognize the triumph of Together for Change in San Juan”the governor told the press. “I have had a communication with Marcelo Orrego. With more than 70% of the polling stations counted, Together for Change obtained 51.13% of the votes, of which 49% corresponded to Orrego. The Peronist candidates, José Luis Gioja and Rubén Uñac shared 44% of the votes.

“I want to thank all the people of San Juan who trusted us,” in his first statements as governor-elect. “We know that they have not given us trust, they gave it to us. This governor is going to work with absolutely everyone, regardless of political ideology. I have come to politics to work, fulfill and do”.
