Sergio Pérez stands out in Bahrain with his overtaking Russell on his way to the top – 2024-03-04 21:07:57

The Ferrari team, for its part, emerged as the best of the rest, revealing a season full of emotions and rivalries.

From the first stages of the race, ‘Checo’ Pérez exhibited exceptional pace, masterfully overtaking George Russell, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, who experienced setbacks with his Ferrari SF24 during braking.

Despite starting from fifth position and overcoming problems with his intercom, Pérez’s skill and strategy allowed him to secure second position as he crossed the finish line.

The race was defined with Max Verstappen leading the race, affirming Red Bull’s dominance on the F1 grid. After the pit stops, Carlos Sainz showed a solid performance, but Pérez maintained his advantage, consolidating his position in second place with determination and skill.

As the race progressed, Charles Leclerc overcame his car’s initial problems and managed to overtake George Russell in the final laps, adding excitement to the close of the 2024 Bahrain GP. In the end, Verstappen, Pérez, and Sainz closed the podium. In addition, Leclerc, Russel, Norris, Hamilton, Piastri, Alonso and Stroll entered the points zone.

Now, the next test for ‘Checo’ Pérez will take place in Saudi Arabia, with the race brought forward due to the start of Ramadan, promising more challenges and emotions. Formula 1 will continue its exciting season with the Australian Grand Prix, scheduled for March 22-24.

Regarding his participation, the Mexican pilot stated: “I am satisfied, a complicated race to understand. A great result for the team thinking about the entire season. Tonight we will analyze everything to try to understand what happened to improve”.

For his part, Mad Max took the Grand Chelem, taking pole position, and winning the race, leading all the laps, thus achieving the thirteenth GP of his career. This being his 5th best historical record in the history of the sport, on par with Jim Clark.

Before entering the race at the Bahrain International Circuit, the Al-Hilal player, Neymar Jr., lived with the Mexican driver, Sergio Pérez.

It goes without saying that Pérez is a soccer fan, and on previous occasions he has expressed it by dedicating words to his compatriot, Javier Hernández, or congratulating the Liga MX champion team, Club América.

However, this Saturday, the Brazilian national team, affected by a serious ligament injury in one of his knees, posed with the Guadalajara driver in the pit area, where they also had a small friendly conversation.

Apparently, this exchange of words ended up giving the driver what he needed to get second place in the competition.
