Sergio Perez, who is battling Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc for second place in the 2022 F1 drivers’ championship, is already aiming for the 2023 crown.

Sergio Perez spent two seasons as a Red Bull Racing driver and once again saw the team return to the top of the championship.

Max Verstappen’s victory in the drivers’ championship in 2021, followed by the double titles of the drivers’ and constructors’ championships in the first year of the new regulations, confirms Sergio’s contract with the team until the end of 2024. Good sign for Perez.

Asked how he feels about his second season at Red Bull Racing, Sergio Perez has spoken to the media about his 2023 ambitions.

“For sure, the start was very good.

“We were in contention for the championship early on. We had some bad races that really kept us out of contention for the championship.”

“We have some work to do with the team in that regard. If we can be consistent throughout and have a similar level of car next year, then we can be in contention for the title.”

“It’s important to finish the season on a high note so that we can come back next year and start the season strong.”

Sergio Perez also talked about how he feels about being in the prime of his career.

“It all depends on how comfortable you feel in the car at the beginning of the season, as it was at the beginning of the season, after which it slipped,” continued Sergio Perez.
