minutes following, in Telenoche, Luciana Geuna and Diego Leuco welcome Luis Otero to the news team of the Chanel, Sergio Lapegüe uploaded a message to his social networks in which he explains the reasons for his departure from Newscast Thirteen.
“In the end I was able, what always cost me so much, which is to leave, I did it. The future is today, someone I met on vacation told me, and he’s right. I love. I only have words of thanks, “wrote the driver, next to the clip in which he elaborates on his decision.
“Friends how are you? For you, for all those who have asked me so many times what I am going to do, ‘Are you coming back at noon?’, ‘Aren’t you coming back?’… It is difficult to make decisions, at least for me, to leave things that one loves and that one wants, but I had been thinking regarding it for some time. I wrote a book called Stop and I have made the decision to leave one of the newscasts. Left the Notitrece”, he expresses in the clip, looking at the camera.
And he continued: “We are going to continue seeing each other in earlyWe are going to continue waking up together from 6 to 10 in the morning, and obviously on the radio, on La 100, every lap, every followingnoon”.
“There were many hours of air; I was really tired and following having hit rock bottom with Covid, as you know, I decided to enjoy my family, my friends, my free time more; go to the gym, play the guitar with my friends from the band, spend more time with my mom, that I mightn’t do that, spend more time with my children, “he explained.
“I leave many friends in the Notitrece, that I will continue to see them. It is a newscast very dear to me. I only have words of thanks for everyone: for the producers, the entire technical team. We’re going to keep seeing each other, by the way. I thank my executive producer, Carlos D’Elía, who gave me the opportunity to drive it and Ricardo Ravanelli who helped me a little to make this decision, because it is not easy to leave things”, he added, omitting who was his partner in driving since his landing in the cycle, the journalist Silvia Martínez Cassina.
“It’s good, because a new cycle begins; A new program begins with Dr. Luis Otero, my friend, too, whom I had the opportunity to replace many times, “continued the host. And he finished: “You have to know how to say enough or realize that the spool is getting shorter and shorter and there is less thread left. When you come to realize this, you say: it’s a good time”.
Lapegüe landed on the noon newscast of eltrece at the beginning of 2019. At that time, following 35 years in Artear, the journalist Luis Otero, the historical host of the program together with Martínez Cassina, left television to dedicate himself to politics. This Wednesday, Geuna and Leuco received him in the study of Telenoche to make his return official. Otero confirmed, in this way, that he will once once more be the face of the channel at noon, although he did not specify if he will once more be in charge of Newscast Thirteen or will lead a new cycle. According to reports, his landing will be effective from March.
At the end of January 2021, Lapegüe contracted Covid, and his condition worsened to the point of spending 21 days in intensive care. Months later, he told THE NATION how he lived the experience of being discharged: “Coming back to life is a dream. The most beautiful thing that happened to me was the birth of my children, but this is something similar. When I hugged my son, he told me: ‘You were born once more’, that’s when I became aware, because I didn’t realize that it was so bad, the mind protects you a lot. All I wanted was to walk around my neighborhood once more and be on my lawn in my bare feet. And I asked my wife to eat a milanese. He walked like a grandpa, when I got here he still had pneumonia. For three months I continued like this, that’s why I lost ten kilos”.
In that same interview, he advanced: “If I tell you that I lowered a change, it would be lying to you. that will be next year [por 2022], but I started doing reflexology, meditation, I am more energetic and sensory. Now I thank the universe for the energy to lift me up.”
