Former FC Barcelona player Sergi Samper has signed a contract with Motor Lublin. His contract will run until the end of June 2025.
Sergi was born on January 20, 1995 in Barcelona. He is 181 cm tall and plays as a defensive midfielder. He began his career in the youth teams of FC Barcelona. In 2013, he joined FC Barcelona B, where he played 74 matches in La Liga during two seasons, recording 6 assists.
In the 2014/2015 season, he made his debut in the senior team of the Pride of Catalonia, playing in the Champions League and the Copa del Rey. In these matches, he had the opportunity to play on the pitch together with Leo Messi and Neymar. Before the start of the next season, he was permanently included in the squad of the then European Cup winner. He was their player until March 2019. In total, he played 13 matches for Blaugrana and can boast winning: the Spanish championship, the Spanish Super Cup, the title of Club World Champions, the Champions League and two Copa del Rey. In the meantime of his contract with FC Barcelona, he was loaned: to Granada CF and UD Las Palmas. There, at the La Liga level, he appeared on the pitch 24 times.
From Barcelona he went to Japanese Vissel Kobe, where he played in the middle of the field together with Andres Iniesta. He spent over 4 years in the country of the rising sun, playing 107 matches, in which he scored 1 goal and recorded 7 assists. During this time, his team became the champion of Japan, and also won the country’s Cup and Super Cup. He spent the 2023/2024 season at FC Andorra, appearing on the pitch 19 times.

Sergi has also featured for Spain’s youth national teams on numerous occasions throughout his career. Our new defensive midfielder will wear the number 6 shirt.
