A septuagenarian was fighting for his life on Thursday following his vehicle collided with a tractor in Sainte-Françoise, in the Centre-du-Québec region.
The accident reportedly occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Route 265 when the vehicle veered from its lane before hitting a tractor towing a trailer.
“With the force of the impact, the vehicle ended up on the trailer,” said Béatrice Dorsainville, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
Although the passenger of the vehicle and the driver of the tractor were not injured, the driver was transported to a hospital in critical condition and we fear for his life.
Route 265 has been closed so that the scene can be analyzed.
