While the number of employed people in Daegu and Gyeongbuk increased by 36,000 in September, the pace of increase in Gyeongbuk slowed down.

According to the ‘September 2022 employment trends in Daegu and Gyeongbuk,’ released by the Northeast Regional Statistics Office on the 15th, the number of employed people in Daegu was 1.238,000, an increase of 6,000 compared to the same month last year.

By industry, the wholesale/retail/lodging and food industry (14,000 people), manufacturing (6,000 people), electricity/transport/communication/finance (3,000 people), agriculture, forestry and fishery (1,000 people), and construction (1,000 people) increased, while business and individual businesses increased. · The public service sector (-19,000 people) decreased.

During the same period, the employment rate stood at 59.7%, up 0.7 percentage points from the same month last year, and the unemployment rate remained at 2.5% last year.

The number of employed people in Gyeongbuk in September was 1476,000, an increase of 30,000 from the same month last year.

However, the number of employed decreased by 15,000 compared to the previous month (1491,000 people).

By industry, the business/personal/public service industry (20,000 people), electricity/transport/communication/finance (14,000 people), manufacturing (10,000 people), agriculture and fishery (1,000 people), etc. increased, while the construction industry (-12,000 people) ), wholesale, retail, lodging and food businesses (-2,000 people) decreased.

During the same period, the employment rate was 63.4%, 0.7%prk from the same month last year, and the unemployment rate was 2.2%, up 0.8%p, respectively.
