Seoul home prices turned downward for the first time in four months.

The total housing prices in Seoul (apartments, detached houses, and row houses) in July, announced by the Korea Real Estate Agency, fell 0.09% from the previous month.

After falling 0.01% in March, house prices in Seoul rose or remained flat following the presidential election on expectations of deregulation, but then turned downward for the first time in four months.

In particular, apartment prices in Seoul last month fell 0.22% from June, increasing the decline from the previous month (-0.08%).

This was the biggest drop in three years and three months since April 2019 (-0.40%).

National housing prices also fell by 0.08% last month, a larger drop than the previous month (-0.01%).

While the jeonse market has shown a downward trend, monthly rental prices are on an upward trend.

Jeonse prices for houses in Seoul fell by 0.07%.

On the other hand, the monthly rental price of houses in Seoul increased from 0.06% in June to 0.07% last month.
