Seoul City Urges Cooperation with Japanese Investigation Amidst Jeon Jang-yeon Subway Protests

The National Solidarity for the Elimination of Discrimination once morest Persons with Disabilities may face difficulty in finding a solution through subway ride protests, warns the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Recently, Jeon Jeon-yeon stated that boarding demonstrations would resume if the city of Seoul continues to assess the adequacy of benefits for activities of the disabled in Seoul. The Seoul government released a statement stating that negotiations were not possible and that the subway might not be stopped under any circumstances. The government also encouraged active participation in the ongoing fact-finding survey to manage recipient qualifications. However, Jeon Jang-yeon believes that the inspection conducted by the Seoul government is an effort to target and harm him.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government warned that if the National Solidarity for the Elimination of Discrimination once morest Persons with Disabilities tries to solve the problem with a subway ride protest, further dialogue will be difficult.

Previously, Jeon Jeon-yeon notified that the Seoul Metropolitan Government would resume boarding demonstrations from today unless the city of Seoul immediately stops checking the adequacy of benefits for recipients who are receiving additional benefits for the disabled’s activities in Seoul.

Regarding this, the Seoul Metropolitan Government implied that there was no room for negotiations through a press release today, saying that the subway should not stop under any circumstances.

However, Jeon Jang-yeon insists that the actual condition inspection conducted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government is a targeted investigation to ‘kill Jeon Jang-yeon’.
