MBN announced on the 15th that Seol Min-seok will appear as the MC for the entertainment program ‘Greek Roman Myth-Private Life of the Gods’ (‘Private Life of the Gods’), which is scheduled to be broadcast early next month.
‘Private Life of the Gods’ is a program that conveys the culture, wisdom, humor and emotion hidden in the classic ‘Greek and Roman mythology’. He continued, “I don’t think my mistakes will be easily washed away with a short period of self-reflection.
In December 2020, Seol Min-seok admitted plagiarism and left all broadcasts when allegations of plagiarism were raised in his master’s thesis at Yonsei University’s Graduate School of Education, “A Study on the Ideological Controversy Appearing in Textbooks of Modern and Contemporary Korean History” (2010). At the time, Seol Min-seok apologized, saying, “I admit that I neglected my research in writing the thesis and neglected citations and footnotes in the process of referencing other papers.”
In addition to the controversy over plagiarism of the thesis, Seol Min-seok caused a controversy over the distortion of history by explaining different facts in tvN’s ‘Sul Min-suk’s Naked World History’, which he was appearing on.
