The crime was recorded on September 27, 2021 in the Las Campiñas neighborhood, located in the Angostura del Orinoco municipality.
That day, the 16-year-old victim was kidnapped and threatened with death when she was on her way to the church in the company of two girls.
Six men (among them the two adolescents, 16 and 17 years old), took her by force and took her to a wooded area.
According to what was narrated by the Public Ministry on its website, five of the attackers forced her to perform oral sex on them, while one of them sexually abused her by pointing a firearm at her.
Complaint
After being abused, “the victim managed to escape” and go to the regional police headquarters to report what they had done to her.
A police commission was immediately formed that went to the scene of the events; the officials found the attackers in flagrante delicto, arrested them and notified the case to the Public Ministry.
During the trial held in the courts of Ciudad Bolívar, the Eighth Prosecutor of the town ratified the accusation once morest the 20-year-old boy, and charged him with the crime of sexual abuse with oral penetration and aggravated threat.
Once the evidence was evaluated by the prosecutor’s representation, the Fourth Trial Court of Ciudad Bolívar handed down the aforementioned sentence once morest the citizen, which he will serve in the Oriente Penitentiary Center, known as El Dorado.
Appeal
The Ninth Prosecutor of Ciudad Bolívar ratified the accusation once morest the two adolescents aged 16 and 17 for committing the same aforementioned crimes.
However, the acquittal of the adolescents was decreed; for this reason, without the representation of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, he filed an appeal on said decision. Authorities did not provide information on the other three involved in the case.
