The German manufacturer has just unveiled its new high-end Bluetooth headset, the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless, with a new design.
The announcement of the headphones was expected following a first teaser and a massive leak, it was finally made by Sennheiser on the night of Monday to Tuesday. The German manufacturer has indeed unveiled the new version of its bluetooth headset high-end, the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless. And as expected, it’s a turnaround for the manufacturer.
The new Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless indeed inaugurates a drastic design change for the manufacturer. As Sony with its WH-1000XM5 or Bose with its Headphones 700the manufacturer has changed the iconic look of its previous helmets, including the Momentum 3 Wirelesstaking up to now the design of the headphones of the 60s.
Here, the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless sports a more modern aesthetic, with large touch surfaces on each ear for controlling music. However, we will find a padded headband with fabric on top and a branch attachment system to best adjust the headphones on each ear. Sennheiser also announces a ” lightweight “ 293 grams all the same. For comparison, the Sony WH-1000XM5 weighs 254 grams. Unfortunately, like its competitors from Bose and Sony, Sennheiser’s headphones cannot be folded for easier storage.
Large 42mm diameter drivers
For sound reproduction, the Momentum 4 Wireless incorporates two transducers 42mm in diameter. Enough to ensure, according to the German manufacturer, a wide frequency responsefrom 6 to 22,000 Hz. It also benefits from Bluetooth 5.2, multipoint Bluetooth technology and support for codecs SBC, AAC, aptX et aptX Adaptive.
Like most high-end Bluetooth headphones, the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless also benefits from adaptive active noise reduction technology and a transparency mode. For voice calls, the headset features two pairs of beamforming mics and wind noise cancellation to better capture your voice. Sennheiser is also introducing a new sound customization function, which is supposed to assess the user’s listening preferences to automatically adjust the sound reproduction. However, it will be necessary to test the headphones to find out what it is worth and if it does not duplicate the equalizer already integrated into the Sennheiser Smart Control application. We can also report the presence of an automatic pause function by removing the headphones to save you a little battery.
Not that the Momentum 4 Wireless is weak on the autonomy side, on the contrary. Sennheiser announces up to 60 hours of battery life with noise reduction on its high-end headphones, thanks to an integrated 700 mAh battery. Wired charging via USB-C allows you to recover up to six hours of listening time in 10 minutes of charging.
The Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless headphones are already available for pre-order at a price of 349.90 euros. It is offered in two colors, black or white, with deliveries scheduled from August 23.
