Sennheiser has unveiled its Conversation Clear Plus, wireless headphones designed above all to chase away ambient noise and help you hear the people around you better.
On the occasion of Las Vegas CESwhich opens its doors this Thursday, Sennheiser has unveiled new wireless headphones. Particularity of these, they take advantage of the experience of the company which precisely bought the consumer division of the German brand in 2021: Sonova.
It must be said that the Swiss company Sonova is not totally foreign to audio technologies since it is specialized in hearing aid devices. As such, it already offers prostheses for the hearing impaired. It is precisely in this area that Sennheiser unveiled its latest headphones on Thursday, the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus.
Behind this extended name, we find in fact the Clear range, already used by the German brand for its listening device for television, the Sennheiser TV Cleat Set. Nevertheless, the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus are, as their name suggests, primarily intended for enjoying conversations, especially in noisy environments.
They use a system of microphones to analyze ambient noise and the voices of people around you to filter noise pollution and transcribe only the voices into the headphones. This feature is in fact the one that we know well during the noise reduction already integrated into wireless headphones during voice calls.
Three noise reduction modes
In addition, the headphones also benefit from a active noise reduction simpler, making it possible to reduce all the ambient sounds as well as a transparent mode called ” ambient awareness “. Sennheiser will also allow users to select the type of environment in which they find themselves in order to benefit from more or less strong isolation according to their needs with a ” relax “, a way ” communication » and a mode « streaming ».
These parameters can be adjusted within a dedicated application, called Conversation Clear Plus, and not using the Sennheiser Smart Control application traditionally used by the German brand.
Obviously, the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus being wireless headphones, they can be connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth. The autonomy announced by the firm is 27 hours using the charging box. However, we do not know what the autonomy of the earphones alone is or if this measured duration is with or without noise reduction.
The Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus are already available for pre-order and will be available for sale from January 20. However, you will have to pay a high price to equip yourself with it since the headphones are announced at a price of 849 euros.
