Before it might even be officially announced, the long-awaited headset Sennheiser HD660S2 ended up having images, price and even approximate release date. Several reports appeared on the internet from people who saw the headphone ad on the Amazon website, where it currently has the status of “temporarily out of stock”.
Yesterday (26), the website WhatHifi published an announcement regarding the annual Bristol Hi-Fi Show audio event, which will take place from the 24th to the 26th of February. In the text it was said that Sennheiser would present its new headphones IE 200 (in-ear) and HD660S2 (over-ear open-back headphones) on the occasion.
Sennheiser will be showcasing its new HD 660S2 open-back headphones alongside its newly released IE 200 premium wired headphones, complete with several design innovations including a revised braided cable.

As mentioned at the beginning of the text, someone ended up registering the Sennheiser HD660S2 headphones before the official announcement of the product. At the time of writing this article, the page is still online, but with the notice that the item is temporarily out of stock.
In the “Headphone Audio” Facebook group, William Su posted an image of the Amazon page displaying the headset and in the comments Travis Patton says he was able to place the order. As you can see in the image below, the Sennheiser HD660S2 will cost $599.95 and will likely be released around February 23, 2023.
For those who were curious regarding how the new headphones will sound, user “IMOUTATIMEMAN” posted on the headphones subreddit the frequency response graph comparing the Sennheiser HD660S to the Sennheiser HD660S2.

According to the leaked information, the Sennheiser HD660S headphones will be released on February 23, 2023 for $599.95.
