The “Senior Safety Olympics”, which will take place on Friday, September 15, 2023, in Gössendorf, is aimed at all Graz residents who are already retired and organized in a senior citizens’ group organized by the districts of Graz and Graz-Surroundings.
The Safety Olympiad is a team competition in which the focus is not on competition (or just a little), but on the opportunity to learn a lot regarding civil protection, self-protection and accident prevention. A maximum of 16 teams with 8 to 14 participants will compete in games such as extinguishing competitions with bucket sprayers or hazardous substance cube puzzles. The supporting program includes a device and performance show by the emergency and rescue organizations. The emergency services will provide valuable tips, e.g. B. for fighting fires, first aid and safe household.
