Senior dangdut singer Jhonny Iskandar died at the age of 64 on Friday, May 10 2024 morning. Jhonny Iskandar is a singer who produced many popular songs in the 1990s with the music group Moral Introduction to Drinking Poison Orchestra (OM PMR).
This news was confirmed by Public Relations of the Indonesian Film Artists Association (PARFI) Evry Joe in a short message.
“On behalf of the Head of Public Relations of the Indonesian Film Artists Association and also the Director of Rumah Film Indonesia, I would like to express my deepest condolences because I knew the late Jhonny Iskandar very well,” said Evry in his statement received on Friday.
Evry recalled his last moments with the late Jhonny when the two of them visited Kalimantan together with colleagues from the Indonesian film and music industry. During that trip, said Evry, they also had the opportunity to visit the capital of the archipelago.
“Goodbye, Brother Jhonny. May your works become a field for charity and the family left behind will be steadfast in accepting the call from the Almighty. May Brother Jhonny be accepted by Allah and Paradise awaits you, amen, rabbal alamin,” said Evry.
Expressions of condolences to the senior singer, who often wore his iconic glasses and hat, were also conveyed by his fellow musicians. The music group Seringai uploaded a video of Jhonny Iskandar’s action on stage.

“Goodbye Uncle Jhonny, RIP. See you once more. We love you,” wrote Seringai in his upload on Instagram.
Apart from that, singer and presenter Melanie Subono also uploaded an expression of condolences to the late Jhonny Iskandar on her Instagram social network account.
