Seniat: July closed with collection of more than 68 billion bolivars

The National Integrated Customs and Tax Administration Service (Seniat) closed the month of July with a collection of 68 billion 678 million 207 thousand 829 bolivars.

This was reported by the superintendent of the institution, José David Cabello in his X account.

The amount collected is equivalent to a significant increase of 64,18% compared to June when The collection was 41 billion 829 million 444 thousand 63 bolivars.

The superintendent also detailed the income obtained through the Income Tax, in which 47 billion 623 million 159 thousand 438 bolivars were collected through Income Tax (ISLR).

He added that 10 billion 646 million 957 thousand 746 bolivars were collected from Value Added Tax (VAT).

For customs: 5 billion 766 million 164 thousand 18 bolivars and for other internal revenues: 4 billion 641 million 926 thousand 628 bolivars.

Cabello pointed out that in the January-July period the Seniat has collected 267 billion 370 million 850 thousand 648 bolivars, while in the same period of time in 2023 76 billion 901 million 731 thousand 652 bolivars were obtained, an increase of 71,23% .

On Thursday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that tax collection grew by 351% last July, compared to the same month in 2023.

In a meeting of the National Economic Council at the Palacio Blanco, Caracas, he specified that in July 2024 it was “1.882 million dollars for a 351% growth in tax collection.”

The first national leader highlighted that the most stable price of the dollar has been achieved in the last eight months and hyperinflation was defeated, and inflation has a downward trend with growth in the real economy.

He highlighted the good progress of economic growth, which in the first half was close to 8%, so the second half should be an accelerator of growth.

On the other hand, he detailed that the bank credit index from April 2023 to April 2024 grew by 81%.
