Senegal vs Algeria: Unmissable High-Level Football Match between Africa’s Best Teams

Dakar, Sep 7 (APS) – The president of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), Augustin Senghor called on the Senegalese public to turn out in droves on Tuesday at the Abdoulaye Wade stadium in Diamniadio on the occasion of the reception of Algeria for a “high-level” international friendly match involving “two of the best teams on the African continent”.

”We invite all Senegalese to come massively to follow the match. Our wish is to fill the stadium to its full capacity of 50,000 seats. For that, people have to make the effort to come very early, get ready and follow this world-class confrontation,” he told the FSF TV channel.

Augustin Senghor pointed out that this “important” friendly match will be very well attended in the world because it is a match between the two best African teams. “I am convinced that they are part of the two best teams in the world”, he insisted, not without reiterating the appeal launched to the Senegalese to come and participate in this football festival which will give the opportunity to see the stars of the Senegal and Algeria.

“We are also lucky to have the two best African coaches in this match,” added the president of the FSF.

He assured that all arrangements have already been made to offer spectators “a good football product”.

”We want to sell all the tickets, there will be no invitations. Sales will start three days before the game. Our desire is to make the stadium profitable and that part of the revenue can be used for its maintenance, “he argued, indicating that the Senegalese Football Federation was going to renew its standard prices in order to allow everyone to benefit from of the “exceptional team” of Senegal.

”We want to succeed in the bet of the organization, to prepare the friendly matches in October ( once morest Mali) and the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup which start in November,” he said.

The Senegal football team is in Group B of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers along with the DRC, Mauritania, Togo, Sudan and South Sudan.

The Lions will play their matches of the first and second day of these qualifiers on November 13 and 21 once morest the South Sudanese and the Togolese respectively.
