Spain remains the country most targeted by migrants who arrive there by sea, in their hundreds. To put an end to this phenomenon of irregular migration which is facilitated by a network of migrant traffickers, the two countries have decided to join forces.
It is in these circumstances that the two Ministers of the Interior met this Monday, in Dakar, to refine the strategy to put in place to stem this phenomenon. At the end of this meeting, Minister Fernando Grande Marlaska indicated that “the national navy, the gendarmerie, the police and the Spanish Guardia are working together to dismantle the network of irregular migration”. He assured his Senegalese counterpart that they will fight together once morest irregular migration which constitutes a “danger for people”.
