This is one of the sine qua none conditions to have access to the polling station this Sunday, March 12, 2023.
At 24 hours from the opening of the 198 polling stations selected in the ten regions of Cameroon for this election, everything is ready in the various polling centers. This is the case in the department of Mfoundi, Center region where six polling stations are prepared at the bilingual public school of Bastos in Yaoundé. According to the head of Agence Elections Cameroon (Elecam) of the said department, Yannick Désiré Fouda Atangana: “the electoral kit and the lists of voters are already in place”.
According to the head of Elecam Agency of Mfoundi, voters must meet a number of requirements before accessing the polling station. These include, among others:
-Check his name on the lists of electors;
– Present his voter’s card and his national identity card;
– Disinfect your hands and wear your face mask at the dedicated Covid19 space near each polling station;
– Avoid duplicate votes prohibited by electoral law;
– Do not create a crowd in front of or near a polling station.
The electoral law provides that the polling stations open at 8 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. throughout the national territory.
This election of the 70 senators of the 3rd mandate will mobilize 11,138 voters including 10,271 municipal councilors and 844 regional councillors. 30 other senators will be appointed by presidential decree.
