Starfield is one of the most anticipated games of the year. But would players really be ready to sell their PS5 to buy the title? This is according to a user on the Twitter account (now X) @New_Legal_, who would have crossed the manager of a Gamestop – a chain of video game stores in the United States. The latter would have explained to him that people exchange their PS5 against Xbox Series in order to be able to play the title of space. However, with no figures came to support these statements. Additionally, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer told the Kinda Funny Games podcast that “there’s no world where Starfield gets an 11 out of 10 and people start selling their PS5s.” But we can still assume that some PlayStation gamers are disappointed not to be able to check out the latest Bethesda project.
As a reminder, Starfield was announced at E3 2018. It is therefore five years later that Xbox and PC players will be able to discover the last big title from Bethesda. Some lucky people have already gone on an adventure, starting September 1, 2023. Early access is indeed available for buyers of the Premium Edition or the Constellation Edition. At JV, we were able to test Starfield and give it a 17/20. On Metacritic, it gets an 88/100 on PC.
