Self-Driving Transport World Congress: Empowering Transport Sector 4.0 in Dubai

Dubai: The third edition of the Self-Driving Transport World Congress will begin tomorrow in Dubai. The ceremony will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center. The announcement of the winners of the Dubai Self-Driving Transport Challenge organized by RTA for the development of driverless vehicles will also be held as part of this.

The World Congress is organized by the Dubai Road Transport Authority for the development of driverless vehicles. A prize money of 23 lakh dollars awaits the winners of the self-driving challenge. Institutions will get 20 lakh dollars and research and educational institutions will get 3 lakh dollars. This time the challenge was focused on developing driverless buses. 27 institutions participated in two categories. Then ten companies were selected for the last final round. Five companies at the international level and five institutions in the local research and education establishment category have reached the final round. The challenge was held at Dubai Silicon Oasis.

The event was held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the UAE Executive Council and Crown Prince of Dubai. The theme of the conference is ‘Empowerment in Transport Sector 4.0’. 2000 delegates from inside and outside the country will participate in it. 33 sessions and workshops on various topics will be held in the conference
