Selenskyj promises infrastructure reconstruction soon – news.ORF.at

After a second wave of Russian attacks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy promised his compatriots that the destroyed infrastructure would soon be rebuilt. The shelling only delayed the repair of previously damaged objects, Zelenskyj said in his video address last night.

“Where there have been losses, there is already our will to build. Where there were any enemy hopes, there will be only ruins of Russian statehood.” In total, Russia fired 28 rockets at his country today, Zelenskyy said. The Ukrainian air defense intercepted 20 of them. Almost all of the 15 drones were shot down.

Power outages and several deaths

After Monday’s devastating attacks, Russia continued to shell extensive areas of Ukraine the following day, including Mykolayiv in the south and Lviv in the west. According to the authorities, four substations in Lviv were completely destroyed. The power went out in larger parts of the regional capital of the same name.

According to the government in Kyiv, seven people were also killed in an attack on the southern Ukrainian region of Zaporizhia. Seven other people were injured in the attacks on the cities of Orikhiv and Stepnohirsk, said the deputy head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
