SELENA Gomez was left extremely embarrassed when she accidentally called someone “Diddy” at a charity event.
The Only Murders in the Building actress was hosting her second annual Rare Impact Fund event on Thursday night in Los Angeles, when she was supposed to introduce Didi Hirsch. However, he mistakenly called him “Diddy,” the name by which producer Sean Combs is known.
Diddy is currently facing federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. He denies all charges and is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
Selena immediately apologized for the mistake and looked a little awkward. According to TMZ, Selena is introducing Didi Hirsch, who runs Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services (DHMS) and works to prevent suicide among teens. After saying “Diddy,” he immediately apologized to the audience, saying, “I’m really sorry!”
Selena’s ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, was once mentored by Diddy. Justin appeared on Diddy’s album released last year, and videos of the two of them resurfaced after Diddy’s arrest.
A video shows a 15-year-old Justin with the rap mogul, with Diddy telling the camera they can’t “reveal” what they will do for the next 48 hours together. Justin has not commented on the accusations leveled against Diddy, but his body language recently suggests a “desire to hide.”
Recently, Justin and his wife Hailey Bieber attended the launch of the newest product from Hailey’s skin care brand, Barrier Butter. Hailey wore a gray suit with a white shirt and red tie.
Her hair was styled up with some of it surrounding her face, and she wore thin black glasses. This is the couple’s first public appearance following the birth of their son, Jack Blues Bieber, in August.
Justin wore a brown plaid shirt that was left open, revealing the many tattoos on his chest. He also wears a suede hat with the front turned down, partially covering his face.
Body language expert Judi James told Mirror US, “Bieber’s body language conveys an air of vulnerability and a subconscious desire to hide.
