The presidential office announced that it had selected 10 excellent public proposals, including the application of differential minimum wage.
At a briefing held at the presidential office today, Kang Seung-gyu, senior citizen of civil society, said, “The judges have selected 10 proposals that require urgent resolution and that the public can relate to.”
The National Proposal is a new communication channel established by the Presidential Office following abolishing the Moon Jae-in administration’s Blue House public petition system.
Kang said that regarding 12,000 complaints, proposals, and petitions have been received so far, and the National Proposal Review Committee has selected 10 of them. These included the K-Transport Pass, which allows you to use transportation, and the new obligation to attach proof of the landlord’s full tax payment when signing a rental agreement.
When asked by reporters, ‘Are excellent proposals selected according to the taste of judges?’, Chief Kang said, “The last government used quantitative measures, but prejudice and irrationality might intervene in the quantitative measures.” Quantitative evaluation will also be reflected in the future.”
Regarding the application of the minimum wage differential, he explained the background for the selection, saying, “We will once more evoke public opinion that small business owners and people who are employed are actually being harmed, and I think there will be a review of this.”
